At the Holy Thursday Mass, April 6th, St Anthony Church will begin offering Holy Communion under both Species (Body and Blood).

It is important to understand that Christ is FULLY PRESENT in both the consecrated host and wine. Yes, He offers Himself under both bread and wine but receiving both is not needed to receive the full presence of Jesus in the sacrament.

It is completely understandable and reasonable if there is still a fear of sharing a common cup. So please do not feel obligated to receive from the cup if you are not comfortable.

 
PLEASE NOTE: The bishop wants it understood that “the Faithful have a moral obligation to refrain from receiving communion from the chalice if they are suffering even the mildest symptoms of illness.”

 
En la Misa del Jueves Santo, el 6 de abril, la Iglesia de San Antonio comenzará a ofrecer la Sagrada Comunión bajo ambas especies (Cuerpo y Sangre).
